![]() ![]() Pages 134 to 140 ( 3% of the book): Pre-made NPCs.Almost feels like the game does not want you to create your own character, but rather play this as a one-shot, and play something else afterwards ….Isn't some of the fun of RPGs creating your own characters? At least it is a good range.Pages 73 to 133 ( 28% of the book): Pre-made player-characters.Pages 27 to 72 ( 21% of the book): Actual rules. The setting is likeable – so if you want a setting-description to read, you got 22 pages to start with.Pages 4 to 26 ( 10% of the book): Flavour-Text.Shadowrun's rules are not accidentally broken, they are broken by design.ĭisclaimer: I never bothered playing Shadowrun: Anarchy. Literally the first Sentence – Which explains a lot. Think positive: Now I have a text I can send people asking me, whether Shadowrun: Anarchy is any good. Last time I read Shadowrun: Anarchy is about half a year ago now, and I did not want to read it again … Well, here I am. Shadowrun: Anarchy is based on the Cue-System (never heard of it). Last week I told you that Shadowrun 5E's rules are garbage.īut Catalyst listened to everyone shouting "The rules suck!", so they made Shadowrun: Anarchy.Ī rules-lite version of Shadowrun, distributing the GM authority around the table. You probably could use this map for playing, but it runs quite bad and grid projection doesnt seem to work, so I guess you'd have to measure everything.Everyone liked my Shadowrun 5E rant. The rest of the map has a lot of nice assets you could grab as well, if you wish. Here you can find a lot of really nice car assets. It has a bag labeled "Purchasable Vehicles" to the side, next to the bridge. I've also included the Night City map by WolfsBane for this same purpose. I also highly recommend Dungeon Painter Studio, which I use to make some of my own maps, and I have included custom asset packs you may find useful for making your maps pop a bit more with 3D props.įor the Cyberpunk/Futuristic Mansion by Ickyness, this map can be played in if you enable grid projection in the toggles on every floor piece (unless you play by measuring i guess,) but I also recommend you save some objects from this map to use them in making your own maps. I personally replace all of the npcs with 3D models, and change/add a lot of aspects to the map, which can be done quite easily. They have lots of nice details put into them already, such as npcs, cameras, and many fitting things to interact with for the Shadowrun setting. The Shadowrun Playset by Die Cat is a pack of detailed maps for many different types of locations likely to be used in Shadowrun campaigns. There are also other model packs included, you may find some of the STALKER/Fallout character models useful as well, if you don't mind the clashing art styles. If you want nicer ones (that cost money) I recommend HeroForge (its somewhat lacking in cyberpunk stuff, but you can get 5 models for $16 with a one month heroforge pro+ subscription) If you don't like HeroForge perhaps google search HeroForge alternatives, there are a fair amount I haven't looked at. Star Wars Miniature Creator is probably the easiest free way to get shadowrun-looking models. Make sure you update to nightly build in global settings of Chummer ![]() ![]() Good addons for playing Shadowrun: 5th Editionīest tool for character sheets/creation:
